It was great to come from Germany and find a home away from home, on a beautiful island. It is a great alternative to crowded backpacker-hostels.
If you are too accustomed to shared dorms and sticky rooms, Beachcomber 3 is real luxury. It is an oasis and it is affordable! It just 30 seconds walk to the beach, so you can enjoy sitting outside in the evenings with your friends. Getting there and getting around to all the other fabulous beaches is easy and Magnetic Island is a paradise for bushwalkers. So in short: All roads should lead to Beachcomber 3 - my stay there was definitely a highlight of my trip though OZ.
